SilverSneakers at ABC Sports & Fitness
SilverSneakers is a fun, energizing program that helps older adults take greater control of their health by encouraging physical activity and offering social events.
Unlock the door to greater independence and a healthier life with SilverSneakers. Health plans around the country offer this award-winning program to people who are eligible for Medicare or to group retirees. SilverSneakers provides a membership to ABC Fitness which includes special classes taught by trained fitness experts and access to all the club's amenities. Strong Bones Plus
Instructors: Mary McFee, Barbara Carey, and Shirley Winne
These professional RSVP instructors teach this class as a team. Mary alone has been personally doing the class for 14 years and teaching it for 8.
Join this fun, year round class at any time. They exercise with weights, both hands and legs; which help with balance, the prevention of osteoporosis and assists in the general enhancement of health. It is always a lively (yet healthful) social experience. Participants should dress comfortably and wear non-slip shoes.
Participants must sign a simple consent form and have a doctor's release prior to attending this class.
Mondays and Fridays, 9:15 a.m. - 10:15 a.m.

Wii Games
Instructor: John Bakke

John began his dance career teaching at the 2nd Avenue Senior Center in 1992. Since then, he has taught at the Louise Corning Senior Center for at least that and more!
The emphasis in this class is to have fun while you exercise. John uses a mixture of country western, Latin, and contemporary music, with additional dance moves taught as well. John also incorporates the waltz, 2 step, rhumba, cha-cha and polka into the mix. Students can join this class at any time. This program runs year round.

Tai Chi
Instructor: Shifa Jianye Jiang
Jainye Jiang has studied this ancient form of movement since he was a child, learning from such well known masters such as Yu Mingwei, Yu Hai and others. He received a BA and a Master Degree from Qufu University and the Shanghai Physical Education Institute. He is also an international Tai Chi Judge in both China and the United States. Jainye Jiang has had a loyal following of students at the Louise Corning Center for over 10 years.
Originally developed in China as a form of self defense, tai chi is a graceful form of exercise that has existed for some 2,000 years. Practiced regularly, tai chi can help you reduce stress and enjoy other health benefits. It promotes serenity through gentle movements – connecting the mind and body. Participants are welcome to join at any time year round.
Participants should dress comfortably and must sign a simple consent form prior to attending this class.

MVP Gold Dance Moves
Instructor: Kristine Lindahl
Lead by MVP Health Care Community Educator, Kristine Lindahl, MVP Gold Dance Moves is a new class offering a great aerobic workout through a variety of fun dance styles, with emphasis on strecthing, balance and coordination.
